Haswing Comax N55

01 / Overview

The Comax N55 is one of the most advanced models in the Haswing range. Its key feature is an electronically adjustable shaft — UP/DOWN buttons change its height across a 265 mm range, so the motor fits most boats and dinghies without manual mechanical adjustment.

The 2:1 steering system means a 45° tiller movement turns the boat 90° — far easier to manoeuvre than a classic 1:1 ratio. The 8-step maximizer smoothly modulates prop speed, saving battery and extending runtime up to 5× — ideal for trolling.

A 3-LED gauge scaled to 12 V shows battery state. The tiller folds and adjusts across 120°, with a safety key included in the kit. The universal transom bracket, resistant to heat deformation, offers 10 tilt angles and mounts on transoms up to 65 mm thick. The 3-blade Ø 23.6cm prop delivers high torque at 1250 rpm. Runs in fresh and salt water.

06 / FAQ

Which battery fits the Comax N55?+

The recommended battery is 100 Ah gel / Li-ion 3S / LiFePO4 4S. For a precise runtime estimate at a given capacity, use the battery calculator.

Which fuse should I use?+

This motor draws up to ~50 A at full throttle, so the recommended fuse rating is 60 A (AGU-type or resettable) — in practice, round up to the nearest size available.

How do I choose the right shaft length for my boat?+

This model ships with a 61–89 cm (elektronicznie regulowana) shaft. For the general sizing rule (transom or gunwale height → shaft length) see the sizing table on this page — Haswing motors also offer depth adjustment along the full shaft length, so a small mismatch is rarely a dealbreaker.

Does the motor run in salt water?+

Yes — the entire Haswing range runs in both fresh and salt water. After a season in salt water, rinse the shaft and prop with fresh water.
