01 / Overview

The entry point of the Osapian line: 30 lbs of thrust and 360 W at 12 V, for dinghies and boats up to 4 m. The anodised-aluminium shaft (80 cm, Ø28 mm) resists corrosion in both fresh and salt water. The guarded 2-blade Ø23 cm prop spins up to 1200 rpm, drawing up to ~30 A.

A 5-forward/3-reverse gear switch with silver-plated contacts keeps the motor running reliably for years.

The telescoping tiller (21–35 cm) tilts through 110° of travel: 20° up, 90° down for transport.

The universal transom bracket offers 10 positions, adjusts along the full shaft length, and fits transoms up to 68 mm thick. A 5-LED gauge (12 V scale) guards against over-discharge.

07 / FAQ

Which battery fits the Osapian 30?+

The recommended battery is Min. 60 Ah Gel, Li-ion, LiFePO4. For a precise runtime estimate at a given capacity, use the battery calculator.

Which fuse should I use?+

This motor draws up to ~30 A at full throttle, so the recommended fuse rating is 40 A (AGU-type or resettable) — in practice, round up to the nearest size available.

How do I choose the right shaft length for my boat?+

This model ships with a 80 cm, Ø28 mm shaft. For the general sizing rule (transom or gunwale height → shaft length) see the sizing table on this page — Haswing motors also offer depth adjustment along the full shaft length, so a small mismatch is rarely a dealbreaker.

Does the motor run in salt water?+

Yes — the entire Haswing range runs in both fresh and salt water. After a season in salt water, rinse the shaft and prop with fresh water.
