01 / Overview

The Protruar 1.0 PRO opens a new PRO line at Haswing — the same power class as the 1.0 LED (65 lbs, 600 W, 12 V), rebuilt with new components: a quieter drivetrain, upgraded electronics and a magnetic safety kill switch that cuts the motor the instant the lanyard is pulled. That matters if the driver goes overboard — the motor won’t keep running unmanned.

The digital maximizer delivers smooth, stepless speed control and extends battery runtime up to five times versus a classic gear switch — essential for trolling.

A digital display shows real-time battery voltage, and the 3-blade Ø 23.6 cm prop has an extra guard collar on the inner side to stop line or braid wrapping around the rotor.

The telescopic tiller adjusts over 35 cm and 180° of tilt, and folds down flat for transport. The universal transom bracket (heat-resistant material) offers 10 mounting positions and adjustment along the full column length — for transom boards up to 68 mm thick. The anodised aluminium column runs corrosion-free in fresh and salt water.

Which fuse should I use?+

This motor draws up to ~50 A at full throttle, so the recommended fuse rating is 60 A (AGU-type or resettable) — in practice, round up to the nearest size available.

How do I choose the right shaft length for my boat?+

This model ships with a 90 cm (aluminiowa) shaft. For the general sizing rule (transom or gunwale height → shaft length) see the sizing table on this page — Haswing motors also offer depth adjustment along the full shaft length, so a small mismatch is rarely a dealbreaker.

Does the motor run in salt water?+

Yes — the entire Haswing range runs in both fresh and salt water. After a season in salt water, rinse the shaft and prop with fresh water.
